Do you try to whip off the tackiness before adding nail polish? I found that with TF if you did not remove the sticky out layer, the nail polish would rub off. I'll stop by at Tiefest.

That is so much easier than doing it with epoxy. Anyone know if someone will be selling Goo at Tiefest?

Fred I have a question. Would it make any sense to weight the shank of the hook to get the fly down in fast moving water? Or do you think that would affect the action of the fly? Also, what size hooks did you use for the shad flies, #6?
I'll edit this since I may have my answer right on the CCG website. The photos there show lead wrapped on the shank of the hook.
