Re: Some specks on a pretty day!
Small polar fiber minnows, we call em Big Eyes, on the low water and size 2 Clousers on the rising tide. Chart/pink when the clouds covered the sun and white/olive when it was bright. Size seems to be the key at the jetty, along with fishing mostly unweighted or lightly weighted flies on sinking/sinktip lines.
Tough for a speck or gray to resist a small fly suspended right in front of his face! That's what brings you that almost imperceptible little tick that make me smile!

Was asked by a good buddy in the prescence of Capt. Brian how are you getting hooked up so much and I told him I was setting the hook about a tenth of a second before they bite!

Another good friend and trut "guru" has really helped me fish the fly SLOWLY and always think that one is looking at it all the way to the boat!!!

That along with the real estate folks and their motto of "location, location, location" will usually get you bent.
Good Fishing & Happy New Year!!!
