Lil Brown trout
We are in desperate need of water. I got this guy in Valley Creek which is a low as it can be. We are getting some heavy rain today but we need lots of rain coming slowly to recharge the spring creeks. The streams are low and clear and brown trout's public enemy#1..The GB Heron have been hitting them hard.
Funny how they look like a speckled trout but specks are even in the trout family.
If you are ever fresh water fishing and wondering....what fly should I use?..this catches lots of fish when you or I have no idea what to use. This is a green weenie! This is a size #18...I typically use a size #14 but the water was so so low and crystal clear.
