Fish kill?

I'm really glad I'm not reading about a fish kill due to the extreme cold we had several weeks ago. I had lunch with a friend here in Tidewater yesterday and he showed me a few photos of some very nice specks and reds on the dock behind his house in VA Beach. When I commended him on a nice catch, he said they they were on the bank and floating in the water, some of them still alive, but dying due to the cold. Several of the specks appeared to be citation sized. I just hope this was not wide spread in this area.

Heard of a few fish dying in the hot ditch and a few in Rudee but not as many death reports as last year. Keep fingers crossed....

I know the Hot Ditch isn't so "hot" these days. I noticed in the paper last month that a lot of very nice fish were Poached from the lagoon down there. I hope they throw the book at those guys.
