They seem to be doing well at Weldon and some were caught last week in Nottoway.

My apologies for a most recent and long overdue infatuation with Face Book, and I was drug there kicking and screaming and DO NOT look for me on Twitter or Instagram, I've drawn a line in the sand.

Fishing excellent from the newbs and Project Healing Waters veterans,

to old salts and those with skillsets that are world class, and I ain't talking 'bout me, but it has been busy as Hell and since the weather has sucked along the coast I have been fishing with friends & clients almost 3 or 4 days a week up on the Roanoke.

It is a 6 hour round trip to fish 4/5 hours and 12 hour days are tough on old folks who still work even when on the water in weather conditions from snow to warm enough for the "no shoulders" to be sunning.

To make amends with some pics, and to all, while the shad are slowing down, the rockfish are just heating up,

but so are the reds/bonito/blues/Spanish/grey trout that are right out the back door.

Good Fishing!!!

PS ---- In less than 12 hours I'll rise from a warm bed, let a black lab named Scarlet take my place, drive to Havelock, pick up Hubert Parrott (my anchor man for the trip, drive to Albert Bruno's house in New Bern and head to Weldon. Nothing unusual except Albert got permission to go fishing after rotator cup surgery and one week in rehab ----- doc & therapist are letting him cast with his wrist as long as he keep his arm in the sling, so by damn, Hubert and I are gonna carry him since I can't get set up above Weldon where both the boogey man and the fish are both willing to interact with props & flies!!!

James River is producing really well ... at least up until our high water (which will be until next week).
Easily catching up to 100 fish before noon ~ 8-)
